Embracing the Big Canvas: Owl Art

In this art class, we tackled a powerful concept: the importance of teaching children to create large works of art on big canvases! Many adults struggle with art anxiety, often feeling intimidated by the blank, white canvas in front of them. By introducing children to large-scale projects early on, we help them break through that fear and unleash their creativity without limits!

We started our journey by learning how to draw owls, focusing on shapes, lines and the unique features that make these creatures so captivating. Once the sketches were complete, we transitioned to large canvases and acrylic paints, encouraging each artist to fill the space with their imagination and bold colours.

The results? Absolutely stunning! Each canvas became a vibrant expression of creativity, showcasing the individuality of each young artist. It was incredible to witness how confidently they embraced the challenge, transforming any initial hesitation into breathtaking masterpieces.

By fostering an environment where kids can explore and experiment on a grand scale, we’re helping to cultivate a love for art that will last a lifetime. Let’s continue to inspire fearlessness in creativity and watch as our young artists soar!

All art classes and workshops can be altered to meet any grade level or expectation.
