Meet our magnificent peacocks!
At our farm, we’re home to 6 stunning peacocks. Did you know that peacocks need a minimum of 5 females per male to keep the peace?
But fear not, because our very own Elvis breaks the mold. He’s the epitome of gentleness and kindness, taking care of his little ones and checking in on all his ladies. What a charmer!
Our peacocks enjoy the ultimate freedom, roaming the farm, flying, foraging, and embarking on grand adventures. They’re not caged in - they’re free spirits!
Elvis, with his radiant plume of feathers, loves to put on a show to catch the eye of the ladies. He dances and flaunts his feathers, but did you know that once the ladies lay their eggs, he sheds his resplendent plumage? Don’t worry, though - they grow back as good as new! Culturally, the peacock plume has represented strength and power. The design on the feathers are thought to be protection and immunity to evil. One can find this motif in religious art, such as Hinduism, which represents immortality and resurrection.
These peacocks are wild so are not the friendliest like the other animals that love cuddles and adoration but here at the farm, we coexist harmoniously, just like one big happy family.
