Meet Our Rescue Animals
Farm Dogs
On our farm, we have a diverse group of dogs, all of whom are rescues with unique stories marked by hardship and suffering. For anyone who is kind, caring, and empathetic, it can be truly difficult to comprehend the challenges these animals have faced.
Since we started running Coveted Canines Rescue in 2015, my kids and I have fostered over 600 dogs, providing clear proof that healing from past traumas is possible when given the right opportunity. We have witnessed firsthand the transformative power of love and support in helping these animals recover and thrive, and it has been incredibly healing for all of us—both dogs and humans—to engage in this journey of hope, love, and reconciliation.
The number of dogs on our farm fluctuates monthly as we work to adopt them out to loving homes or take in new fur babies who will stay with us until their quality of life becomes unacceptable. Many of the dogs we rescue require palliative care, which serves as a constant reminder that their time with us may be limited.
Our farm itself is a safe haven and sanctuary for these animals—a refuge where they can decompress and feel secure. Here, they have the opportunity to reconnect with their natural instincts and experience the joys of nature. They can roam freely across 24 acres of fenced-in fields and explore an additional 17 acres of picturesque forests, wetlands, and streams.
This environment is truly a paradise for our dogs, allowing them to enjoy activities such as smelling, playing, and running. It is a space where they can be themselves, experiencing what it means to live as a dog in its natural state. By providing this loving sanctuary, we not only offer them a second chance at life but also create lasting memories and bonds that enrich their remaining days. It is a privilege to witness their resilience and joy as they embrace happiness despite their past struggles, serving as a testament to the power of love and healing.
