Underwater Sculptures: Exploring Water, Oceans, Lakes and Fish

Learning Expectations:

  1. Visual Arts: Students created a collaborative art sculpture representing water, oceans, lakes and fish using various materials and techniques.

  2. Science: Students learned about the importance of water bodies and the creatures that inhabit them, fostering an understanding of the natural world. 

  3. Social Studies: Students explored the cultural significance of water bodies of different communities and perspectives.

Dive into a cross-curricular journey as Kindergarten students embarked on an art sculpture project incorporating the beauty of water bodies and aquatic life. 

Students utilized visual arts and collaboratively created a 3D art sculpture representing water, oceans, lakes and fish using various materials and techniques along with recycled and environmentally friendly materials. Science was incorporated as students learned about the importance of water bodies and the creatures that inhabit them, fostering an understanding of the natural world. In social studies, we explored the cultural significance of water bodies in different communities, including different cultural perspectives. 

This holistic cross-curricular lesson plan aligned with educational standards from the Ontario Ministry of Education and provided a creative, immersive experience for our young learners.

All art classes and workshops can be altered to meet any grade level or expectation.
