We embarked on a whimsical journey to create the cutest sculptural squirrels! It all started with a burst of creativity as we sketched our furry friends on cardboard using vibrant oil pastels. The colours came alive under our hands, and each drawing reflected our unique styles and imaginations.

Once we finished our drawings, we carefully cut them out, transforming our 2D creations into playful 3D sculptures. The next step was to attach them to blocks of wood that we had decorated with either realistic or abstract designs. It was fascinating to see how each block added a different personality to the squirrels, making them truly one-of-a-kind!

To bring our sculptures to life, we added the final touch: gluing on chestnuts and pine cones. These natural elements not only enhanced the charm of our squirrels but also connected our artwork to the beauty of the outdoors. 

Seeing our classroom filled with these delightful creations reflected the joy of artistic expression and the magic of collaboration.
